for all.
• SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy: Promoting clean energy through Solar PV
solutions, EV charging, and energy-efficient solutions.
• SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: Advancing sustainable
technologies and innovation across our operations.
• SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: engaging in various CSR activities,
supporting green mobility and lighting the streets for a cleaner and safer
community.
• SDG 13 – Climate Action: Reducing emissions, promoting recycling, and
protecting our beloved Lebanon’s environment.
In short:
These five SDGs serve as a sustainability roadmap for MEDCO, guiding how it grows
responsibly while protecting people, the planet, and future generations.
Here’s how MEDCO contributes to each of the above SDGs:
SDG 5 – Gender Equality
1. Challenging Industry Stereotypes: Women MEDCOers Leading on All Fronts
From a high-performing department fully led by women, to station managers and two
fuel truck drivers, women at MEDCO are excelling in roles traditionally seen as maledominated. We at MEDCO, have started shifting that conversation, from “Can she do
it?” to “How can we empower her to do it?” And that’s a far more productive place to
be.

network (biggest EVC network in Lebanon) and encouraging electric vehicle adoption.
4. Promoting Energy-Efficient Heating/Cooling Solutions
Through the sale of energy-saving heat pumps, MEDCO enables customers to lower
energy consumption and minimize emissions from heating and cooling systems.
SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

showcased smart mobility and clean energy solutions through e-MEDCO: ultra-fast EV
chargers, electric cars, solar PV solutions, and heat pumps, highlighting its role in
advancing sustainable infrastructure.
2. Empowering Student Innovation
In partnership with ESIB-USJ, MEDCO empowered and supported young engineers to
develop sustainability-focused projects on wastewater treatment for car wash stations
and reprocessing used lubricating oil, promoting research-driven & youth-led innovation
and sustainable engineering.
